Board and validate with your bank card on SAMobilité buses! 💳
Boarding a bus and paying for your ticket with a bank card is now possible across the SAMobilité network! This practical solution, which removes the need to purchase a ticket in advance or from the driver, is suited to tourists and occasional travellers alike, as well as regular passengers or those who value simplicity and speed.
HOW TO USE THIS SERVICE?
Validate your bank card by presenting it in front of the validator to purchase and validate your single ticket in one single action:
- If the signal is green, your ticket has been validated.
- If the signal is red, your ticket has not been validated. Your payment has been declined (expired card, etc.).
With this payment method, there is no ticket to collect — your bank card is your travel pass!
Please note: purchasing a single ticket from the bus driver remains possible at the price of €1.60.
WHICH CARDS ARE ACCEPTED?
All CB, VISA and MASTERCARD cards with the contactless payment function. Smartphones or smartwatches equipped with NFC technology such as Google Pay, Apple Pay, Samsung Pay or Lyf Pay.
Bank cards not accepted: VISA ELECTRON, AMERICAN EXPRESS, PAYLIB
HOW DOES THE INSPECTION WORK?
In the event of an inspection on the bus, present the payment method used for the first validation (bank card, smartphone, smartwatch) to the inspector’s device.
AND FOR A CONNECTION?
When making a connection, present the payment method used for the first validation (bank card, smartphone, smartwatch) to the validator again to validate your journey.
If you are within the authorised 1-hour connection time: no additional charge will be debited.
CAN SEVERAL PEOPLE TRAVEL TOGETHER?
It is possible for up to five people to travel together using the same payment method! To do this, validate as many times as there are passengers. The payment method will be charged €1.30 per person travelling together. It is essential to stay together for the entire duration of the journey. In the event of an inspection, simply presenting the payment method will allow the inspector to see how many “tickets” are currently valid. When making a connection, validate as many times as there are passengers.
Example: I board with two friends and pay for their journey: I validate my payment method three times.
HOW CAN I TRACK MY USAGE?
Journeys made during the day, with or without accompanying passengers, will be debited from your bank account in the following days.
